Frequently Asked Questions
What are some rough guidelines to help me decide if my reservoir is a potential chemical flood candidate?
Short Answer:

If your reservoir is a good waterflood candidate, it should be considered for chemical flooding.

Long Answer:

1. A reservoir temperature of 225oF (110oC) or less.

2. Reservoir and well spacing allow for injection of one pore volume of fluid in less than twenty years.

3. Sufficient water is available to dissolve chemicals.

4. Permeability greater than 10 millidarcies (mD).

5. Field not dominated by fracture flow.
