Frequently Asked Questions
I've been told I have to soften my water in order to flood my field. Are there other options?
Short Answer:

Mobility control polymer flood or surfactant-polymer flood.

Long Answer:

A mobility control polymer flood is an option if your waterflood has inefficiencies due to poor mobility control or minor thief zones.  A surfactant-polymer flood may displace residual oil in addition to the mobile oil accelerated by a mobility control polymer flood.  Although it is not difficult to develop an SP formulation that is optimum for an oil reservoir's environment, the process has not been demonstrated successfully in the field.
